TEL Storage and Blending Plant Remediation
Innospec Environmental provides a full remediation service for the dismantling, decontamination and destruction of redundant TEL (tetra ethyl lead) storage and blending facilities. This highly hazardous work is performed by experts using specialist equipment and materials and provides detailed risk assessments, method statements and procedures.

We follow the recommended practices in the Partnership of Clean Fuels and Vehicles Report, which is endorsed by UNEP. Any resultant wastes and residues are recovered and recycled at our specially licensed plant in the UK. All waste is packed in steel tanks fitted with a pressure relief system and constructed in accordance with British Standard pressure vessel code BS 1500. Waste movements are made in full compliance with the Basel Convention and the Transfrontier Shipment of Waste Regulations. Recycling the waste is both cost effective and the most environmentally responsible option for treatment.

TEL Contaminated Land Remediation
Alongside the TEL plant remediation service, Innospec Environmental also offers a service involving the cleanup of land and groundwater that may have been contaminated with TEL (tetra ethyl lead) using proven specialist methods. From initial investigation to full site clean up and waste treatment Innospec Environmental can offer a full service.

Leaded Gasoline Tank Declassification
The oil industry practice that states that once a tank has been in leaded service it always has to be treated as a leaded tank regardless of whether it has changed duty is challenged by our unique declassification service.

Using specialist guidelines, we can determine if ex-leaded tanks can be safely declassified from leaded duty saving both time and money during maintenance and cleaning.

Training and Consultancy
As the world's foremost expert in organo-metallic lead compounds, we offer a training and consultancy service relating to the safe and environmentally responsible handling of organic lead compounds and related issues. In particular training is provided in leaded gasoline tank cleaning and lead alkyls hazard awareness.

Emergency Response
Our experts are on call 24 hours a day to deal with emergencies involving the storage and transportation of lead alkyls.
